I feel a visit to an Engineering Workshop coming on fast! Thanks for the reply Pash, as ever good advice. I take it you think it's repairable then? By the way I bought this the other day, EBay item: 121291276882 |

Not sure whether it is good above or not but I would do all I can to save it. Maybe lumiweld would be better as it would cause less distortion... |

So am I right in thinking its possible to fit any cover with bushes straight onto my cams and motor? Or do I have to get the cams matched to the bushes? |

I think Maz once said that he found bushes wore out quicker when new covers were fitted. If you look in the manual, the cases and covers are line bored, and it looks like (from memory) they are done independently, rather than as a matched set, so they are matched to the boring jig. In the factory, how is it done? Well, I would be surprised if they were a matched pair... I don't really know the answer to your question, but if it were me, I would probably fit and forget... |

Gonna take it to an engineering firm in the next couple of days as like you say it's better the devil you know. I just hope they can do something with it Thanks for your input ![]() |
