As we know, the fan behaviour is different for different versions of firmware. To my knowledge, the last version of firmware on the XBs had the fan running constantly while the engine was running, but then turned off immediately when turning the ignition off. There was also a version of firmware immediately prior to this which had the fan run at any speed above 15mph, and the fan also ran for a while post engine switch off. This is the version I have on my 2009 XT. Can anyone tell me which version this is? I now have a 2008 X and it seems to be on an older version which is temperature based. The fan runs for ages after shutoff. I'd like to get the X's ECU flashed to the same version as my XT without the muppets at HD flashing it to the newest, so want to give them the specific code. Hope that all makes sense. Thanks ![]() |

If you get it reflashed it will be the most recent firmware (BUE2D I would think), I don't think you will have a choice. This will allow you to configure how it works. http://www.ecmspy.com/cgi-bin/detail.cg ... offset=969 ECMSpy will tell you your firmware version. |
