Yes but the 99 and some early 2000 MY had a single sided butterfly shaft that was prone to breaking......and a 99 may not have a remote idle cable.

Guys, I want to return my X1 to injection because I'm not very happy with the carb setup. I've ridden Dorske's stock X1 the other day and it performs A LOT better than my X1 with a Mikuni. Besides, injection is growing on me now and I think it'll be better to return the bike to stock. There's a pair of S3 throttle bodies going on eBay in the US. Did the S3 have the same engine as the X1? Reason is because I also wanted to get the ECU from the guy and all the associated cabling. TA! Mich |

......and the Mikuni should be much better than injection.....methinks the problem with your X1 will only be compounded if you ever manage to get the injection back on. |

Nowt to do with HP....Mikuni = instant throttle response and perfectly clean running from a cold start to a hot restart etc.....ie. flawless fuelling. |
