Post subject:  rear wheel removal

Hi all,
I'm trying to remove the rear wheel (having read the 'how to' section) of my XB9SXin order to replace the bearings, but as i turn the axle, the swinging arm starts to splay apart. Is this normal, or should i be concerned? I'd hate to damage the swinging arm. any ideas?
thanks in advance,
Dan

have a read of this thread in the how to

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1329

if the swingarm is forced apart too much you can damage it. try clamping the swingarm together with tie down straps or something

Axle is seized in the bearings, if you force things the weld to the oil tank will fracture.

ratchet strap the swing arm as a brace and be very careful.
