I know the front brake on an XB12 is a work of art, but I find it very 'on /off' with very little progression. My bike has a fairly new set of OEM pads on it and the disc is in good condition. On my other bike (Kawasaki Versys), I use a semi sintered EBC pads on the front, which are nice and progressive with lots of feel, but work very well when you give them a good squeeze. OK, they aren't as good as fully sintered ones, but then stoppies were never my thing.

Is there a semi-sintered or organic pad available for the Buell?

I don't have any problems with the progressiveness of the EBC HH pads on my XBs.

You have such a way with words Maz :D

I think I may give the EBC HH ones a try, I'm not keen on the OEM ones for sure. I also have a slightly worn set of 'braking' pads that came with the bike. I'm not sure why the previous owner took them off though.

I also made some good experience with AP Racing pads (SF type).
