Ok I fitted a wavy rotor and sinted brake pads. Had the forks serviced. When I brake more so at low speeds I get a noise like a dull rattle initially when I apply brake. The noise is only noticeable on light application and goes as pressure is applied. It sound to me like one of the fork springs was jumping around whilst the other was taking the strain. I have adjusted the settings numerous times to make sure they are even. I have checked brake calliper in the course of investigation and found that the pads can be moved by hand in the calliper. I think it might be them jumping around. No feeling transmitted through handlebars and brakes work ok just annoying ! Any ideas ??

chuck the wavy disc in a skip & put a standard one back on :mrgreen:
seems the easy & logical fix to me :yup:

i got wavy rotor, love it but weith new pads makes a right racket

If it's a floating disc, it will be the disc rattling on the bobbins. That's what a floating disc is supposed to do. Center itself between the pads.

Shouldn't rattle though, and when the brakes applied it wouldn't rattle because the pads are holding it tight.

A floating disc will rattle, but most don't, as folks aren't aware they should blow the dust out of the bobbins to keep them clean.
Also the OP says it only rattles initially as he applies the brake, and goes as pressure is applied.
