Not so sad post but thought I'd put up my issues so far...
1) Side stand sensor faulty, led to stalling etc. Replaced OK. Thanks Manc HD :D
2) Speedo unit letting in water. Can barely see the info! New one on order.
3) Cracked weld/bracket on the Remus header (no shit Sherlock) - to be re-welded.
4) Was troublesome starting from cold last 2 times. OK from warm. Needs a touch of throttle to start then runs on one cyl for a few strokes. This is a new one!

Any one else had issues with the kettle and its wonderous electrickery?

I've just tipped over 4k miles.

I've had a new IC fitted (Thanks Mchr HD 8-) - They fought my cause 8-) 8-) )
...and I've fitted wheel bearings ('sfunny how all the naysayers said the bearings were fine and Buell have just redesigned the bearing arrangement ;) :lol: )
Usual recalls, g/box and brake line and so many piston/liner seals in the clutch slave I've lost count. Happily, I've now got the new improved 2010 slave internals fitted now so fingers crossed ;)

I don't think you can blame the failed weld on the headers as a fault of the bike, you need to bend the ear of those cack handed Austrian fucktards that built the system ;)

I still love mine despite the 1125 series still being prototypes - what a fantastic grunty motor 8-)

Only problem so far was explaining to the wife how H.D. relieved me of wad of dosh to make it sound sweet and go even sweeter :yup: 3500 miles so far and good as gold :o n9wty if you got yours from Silverstone was it a demo or a used bike as I was told my troublesome cr had been sold :shock:

Not had any probs with mine, had it since mid feb and done about 4000 miles now. I can recommend the Jardine RT-5 pipe to sort out the soundtrack too, especially if you don't like your neighbors!

Gearbox recall done, still have the brake line recall to be done, when I can get around to booking it in but I keep an eye on it and it hasn't been affected so far. Also had the clutch leak fault for about a year, but every time I book it in to get it done something goes wrong ! Just top up the fluid now and again and it keeps going. Also had the exhaust replaced and camcoated under warranty as the first one was rotting. And the IC fogged up last winter but they said it wasn't bad enough to require replacing - we'll see how bad it gets this winter. :evil:
Oh, one of the rear indicators packed in over last Friday, luckily I had a spare but will get it replaced when I finally get around to having the clutch and brake line sorted.

Numpty question - what's an IC (used to mean inter-cooler in my turbo'd former life).?
Anders - Mine was the SilverstoneHD demo bike. What was troublesome about your old CR (they had a used one with 150 miles on for sale) and what have you replaced it with?

Unfortunately my ignition problem got worse and I was running on one cylinder for a few moments on the way home last night. It would sort of cut out (run on one) for a few seconds then be fine. It would do this at tickover or at 80mph on the motorway. Couldn't find any consistancy with the fault.

They will be looking at it this week. Hope it's something simple...

As someone mentioned a couple of weeks back, it really is about time we all wrote down the list of problems we've had with these 1125s. In my opinion its not really on for a companies £8500 flagship bike.

Get the dealer to check service bulletin B-089 issued 23 Feb 09 re. alternator rotor machining.

If your reg is km58rxr then :uhoh: if not happy days ,it had 250miles when it went bang but the new cr is great so far !!!!!

Anders, that ain't mine - they were falling over themselves trying to sell me that one tho'. Wonder why :shock:

Twas me suggested getting all the faults listed for Buell UK.

I'm now on my third 1125R as Stratstone couldn't sort out No. 2 in time for my Manx GP trip so found me a replacement bike - bless'em. They may not understand the bike but they could definitely tell I wasn't happy that they'd had it for 3 of my 5 weeks ownership!

Bike No. 3 only needs attention to scratched panels and worn rear tyre so far - oh, and misting IC in the Manx fog!

Off to the Ace Cafe on Sunday - anyone going?

If I met you at the Ace, then you'll know I'm onto my third sidestand sensor :roll: . I noticed the BlackBear demo CR has a broken sensor too. Was good to hear that Anders and JBR had no issues with their CR's (not jealous, honest, just really happy for you guys :twisted: )

Your time is gonna come, 1125 boys. Just keep some wire and tape under the seat cos you'll need to short the clutch sensor to get home.

Reminds me of the "spike" killing the speedo sender of the XB's. Maz did a mod for that - something like using the 5V supply instead of the 12V? Wonder if there'll be such a mod on the sidestand sensor of the 1125's... hmmmmmm

CEL/LFL issue with cold fuel - said to be cured we shall see in the next winter.
IC fogging up - minor problem in the winter - again being watched carefully.
Interesting that sidestand switches are beginning to fail, might need an end of line resistor and remove the switch (like the noid mod).
