I wgould like to download ECMSPY as I intend to remove motor for exhaust baffle drive as I don't have it connected and its pretty much running continuously , can see where its done in ECMSPY so just need to download mono and ECMSPY and connect to bike , I have a lead I made some time ago but as bike was running well haven't used it .
downloaded Mono , wasn't sure what to put in for usb port so left it at default , then downloaded ECMSPY test version , when ECMSPY was clicked on generated message saying Failed to load FTDXXDLL are the FTDI drivers installed ? , could get past this by clicking on it , but in ecmspy said no usb port available , so I assume ECMSPY has not downloaded correctly hence drivers missing , and also I have not installed mono correctly by not telling it which usb port to use .
Have looked at my usb ports available ( using driver manager ) and have 1 labelled PORT_#0001.HUB#002 ,
So if I delete ecmspy and mono , when I reload mono when it asks what port should XSP use (which is I'm guessing usb port ) what do I need to type in ?
and how can I make sure all drivers are downloaded for ECM spy , just want to make sure I can get it to connect then will willingly donate fee for charity .
Seem to have written a bit of a book , hope it makes sense to somone .
