Okay folk, I know nothing about them but has anyone tried these so called Iridiam plugs, I know they cost a lot more but are there any truth's in the alleged benefits of better starting ,better fuel efficiency and longer lasting. So has anyone tried them in their Buell's or is it best to stick to what the book says, only asking out of curiosity and lack of knowledge on the subject. Churchill |

Just keep NGK spark plugs! No need for fancy iridium stuff on a buell |

I've never felt the need to use them as standard plugs have always been perfectly adequate. I'm interested in Tone's comment though. |

What i have found with the Brisk plugs is way better starting for one thing then basically it makes for a much cleaner crisper ride and more responsive to boot! Also they claim an increase in bhp only slightly but every little helps! lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXEzYvU ... e=youtu.be |

Was your bike having difficulties starting before you fitted the plugs? |

Not really Adam the bike started ok most of the time but with these plugs having multiple sparks it just fires up a bit quicker, basically the bike just feels stronger however dumb that may sound! My mate found the same thing on his `06 ss |

I run them and like them. It doesn't miss a beat and is good even at low rpm. I guess though that the originals or a good NGK wouldn't be a huge difference. The Iridium plugs were introduced for fussy highly tuned engines that have a tendency to eat plugs, ( Ferrari etc ) but Buells aren't really going to eat them like that, as the fuel is only sucked in, squished up, a bit then set light to with a flint. Sounds good though at the the cafe when you sprout on about them though. I still fit them

The only way the megga fancy expensive plugs improve performance is in the reduction in weight on the bike after emptying your wallet |
