I have had the forks on my X1 rebuilt twice now with new seals dust and oil and yet the right fork still leaks. What could be wrong with it, any ideas? |

Two different people did the seals. Used genuine Buell bits. No scoring on forks. Both people were competent mechanics. |

OK is the outer damaged ,not letting the seal sit correctly. sounds like it needs a good thorough looking at . ![]() |

My top tips... Use genuine (NOK) seals (I use Honda RS250 seals - they are identical to the Buell 41mm seals). Wrap insulation tape over the sharp endges of the fork bush recess for when you push the seal down the slider. Bounce the forks with the axle tight but the axle clamps undone to allow them to find their place in life. Then tighten the clamps. |

So, if the seals were replaced by competent mechanics, this begs the question, why have they failed again.......either they were not competent, or they missed something like damaged chrome etc. ie. they were not that competent after all, or you're using shit brake pads ? |
