What’s the best way of heating it Maz. Wouldn’t want it to melt.

I have a mechanic trying to replace a stanchion on X1 2001 he is having difficulty removing the lower part axle clamp. Any clues as to removing this. Guy says it should just unscrew. |

Remove the grub screw, then heat the lower and it will unscrew. |

Hot air gun.....there is an O ring in the bottom that will need replacing. |

No worries....and find another mechanic !......a decent one wouldn't need telling these things.....god knows what sort of a job he's gonna do rebuilding the forks
