Help please - how do you remove the ignition trigger rotor (gold rotor in pic) ? I can't find mention of how to do it in the workshop manual and mine seems to be fixed solid. I have removed the retaining bold and tried to gently lever and tap it but it seems to be locked solid. I don't want to damage it by using too much force so I'd thought I'd ask on here first before getting the lump hammer out  Thanks !!

It should pull straight off. It may be being retained by the keyway. |

Yes I also thought it would pull off easily but it is solid. I noticed that the securing bolt thread was loctited so I'm wondering if the loctite has bled and glued it into place - I think I will try some heat on the face of the rotor and try and melt the loctite as the next step. Thanks Mike. |

Ok sorted now - confusingly the rotor has a metric thread (M6) in the middle so it's an easy job to tighten a M6 bolt in against the camshaft and off it comes... I assume that Buell sourced the ignition components from somewhere in far-east hence the metric thread... |
