Hi All
New member had my bike for a few mouth everything was great. Problem started when I had to change the battery charger lead, then it wouldn't start which is wired. Then I check the ground (negative) lead from the battery to the frame when I pull the cable up the bike started which is even weirder wiggled the battery Terminal bike started so change battery put seat back no luck wouldn't start. thought it was the starter relay got no one no luck. I'm now thinking its a bad wire or earth. I'm also getting error codes come up comm error etc
Ant though would be helpful
Thanks
Paul

sounds like you have a broken earth cable
unless you have accidentally put the battery in the wrong way round ?

Very common for 1125 earth cable to work lose where it attaches to the frame in front of the swingarm.
If the battery were connected the wrong way, you're in for a world of pain as the cap in the fuel pump will have blown.....this is not repairable and will require a new pump !

Battery leads are on the right way. Got anther negative lead still the same problem. going to test all the lead and wire with a meter.

If it's wired up the same as my 1125r, look at the red lead terminal +, there should be a shaped plastic shield that fits round it where it threads through the rear subframe, if not it will short onto the frame there.

Mine has gaffa tape & a rubber buffer that looks like the person who did it was blind, but it drew my attention to the problem.

Thanks to you I now know that you have had the battery off without messing anything up on the clocks, so I will undo this & fix it as I was also looking to put an optimiser lead on.

I was S**t scared that removing the leads would activate theft mode or something else equally drastic, as with Aprilia Mille's, this action resets everything even the mileage on the clocks.

Just a warning, do not mess with the clocks unless you have the theft code & know it works because if you inadvertently access the theft mode which you have to cycle through to access other stuff, like the time, you will be neck deep in S**t.

Hope this helps.

All the best Paul.

Got it sorted retrace my steps. Had to change the bolt that hold the neg lead to the frame with a smaller size as it was not holding the lead tight lead and it started just a stupid mistake. anyway thanks for the help
