Does anyone know if an instrument cluster (New) is Plug & Play. Can I transfer the mileage onto the new set with ECMSpy or anything like that?

Mileage is retained in the speedo on an XB. Be careful as the number of teeth on the 5th gear changed in 2006 so if you may end up with speedo errors if you fit the wrong year... I've got a pre-06 s instrument cluster if you need one. You'll ask me what the mileage is and I'll tell you I don't know. I can try and wire it up to check...

Thanks Pash. You seem to be a fountain of knowledge. I might try and just swap the outer covers from the new cluster onto mine. My top outer cover is slightly melted. It’s been suggested that it may have been caused by the sun magnifying through the screen?
