Hi, The speedo has stopped working on my 2002 X1. The rev counter still works as does the digital display at the bottom of the speedo,Both the speedo and rev counter light up so i do not think it is the fuse or they both would not work. I have removed the battery and checked all the wiring conectors they seem fine allso removed the speed sensor and there is nothing visable there either.ANY IDEAS??? |

When you say the display/odo still works.....is it still recording mileage ? Otherwise, I'd say the VSS is toast......you'll need a new one and it'll need rewiring to the regulated 5V supply from the ECM. Yer only down the road from me ![]() |

Sorry to hijack the thread.... but I thought the new sensor (pt no 74402-95B) incorporated a regulator? |
