The more you read about it the worse it sounds , but we shall see.
As with unleaded fuel it was the end of classic cars bikes etc.... :eat:

It tells you something when my missus can run her wee 1.4 Corsa with nigh on flat tyres & not notice, but noticed it runs shit & there's a lot less power with E10 fuel. She's started putting super in now which is great as I can syphon her car for my bike when I'm skint.

I always ran my lawnmower on V-Power... until I discovered the Esso Supreme+, get the lawn done in half the time ;) Likewise my cement mixer and chainsaw. Probably more critical than in cars, we've yet to see the effects of the E10 sh1te overwintering in these devices...

I run my 22 year old Clio car on superunleaded E5, but prefer Shell not Esso, I put Esso Supreme 99 in my XB for longer term layups, but I still find that Shell E5 feels like it has more ‘bang for your buck’ in both my Renault and Buell. Maybe that’s peculiar to my own vehicles. :?

Yes my Clio could run on E10 and yes V-Power is expensive, but it’s worth it to my mind. ;)

Well I took the Uly out for a spin on Saturday , the first time it had been started for close on 4 months I'd guess , the last time I put fuel in I used E10 because that was all they had, it's sat all that time with half a tank of fuel but I did add some of the tool station ethanol stabiliser when I last used it. Turned on ignition and pressed the start button and it fired straight up and ticked over the same as it always has done , went out for about 15 miles and it never missed a beat and ran just like it always has done. So folks don't be paranoid about Ethanol there's far more things around that may cause us harm or cost us money ;)

:yt: although I do try and lay up for winter with a full tank ( less room for condensation and moisture )
I have used of late ,HD's Ethanol Guard , starts ok runs ok , the only thing I noticed was AFV took a couple of runs ( my 75 miles local country side route ) to settle down , don't know if this was the lay-up and surface rust being burnt of o2 sensor or just the new fuel working through I use E5 super.

I'm fortunate enough to have an Esso garage five minutes down the road from me.
Esso Super & Redline injector cleaner every few weeks.
No problems so far. Always starts, ticks over for 10 mins on the drive whether it's been laid up over winter or not with whatever amount of fuel is left in it.
Fingers crossed for continued availability in the future.
Paul.

E15 sounds like another nail in the coffin for many. I can see E5 being phased out :(

I know this will be unpopular but I've been using E10 since it came out in both my car a 1.5 ecotec Kuga with if anything a slightly better consumption and in the SV650 which is sometimes in the garage for weeks at a time even over the winter and it still starts first prod of the button.
The Buell gets a 50/50 mix of E5 and race fuel :P
