I took the fuel pump out my 2007 XB12. Found it in a bad state. Probably my fault for letting it sit for a couple of years.

One thing that won't have helped is the low lever sensor wire is broken off right where it goes into the sensor.
Is there any likely chance of being able to get one in the UK?
Twin motorcycles have them, but just wondering if there is an easier way to get one. Thank you all lovely people in advance

Buellservice in Italy has them for €25 plus post

OE part number was P0789.KA but NLA from HD.

Buell Parts in Germany list this one as a replacement for €14.95 plus post

This on eBay in UK is £20 posted

The last two look identical but have 2 wires - not sure what to connect other wire to!

I read that the black wire is an earth. It can be removed as Buell earth through the mounting screw and washer.
Will get one of those sensors anyway. Thanks. I had searched ebay, but had no luck.

It says out of stock. I have ordered one from twin motorcycles as I wanted a new filter and seals, so was easiest to get it all from them. My pump and inline filter looked bad anyway, so best to replace with new.

Is this an easy job?

My low fuel light seems to have stopped working (found out by running out!)
I suspect I have the same issue, XB9SX 2005,

Cheers

John

The sensor is attached to the pump in the frame. It works by having a small current sent to it. The fuel keeps it cool until the level drops. Then it warms up and sends a signal to somewhere and you get the warning light come on.
I took my pump out as it wouldn't run and found the broken wire.
I have ordered a new filter and sensor from Twin Motorcycles as I could find parts anywhere else that I trusted to work, and be good enough quality..

Got it all back together. New pump, filter, strainer and seals from Twin Mmotorcycles. 4 days to deliver which is pretty good. I have no way of checking fuel pressure, but hope the regulator from TM is ok. Only run the bike in garage for a while. I reset the tps as well. Seems a bit rough at the moment, but bike has been stood for a couple of years. Hopefully it will be ok when given a run. MOT next week. Just need to find a place that sells decent fuel.
