Hi folks,

Just found some head gaskets for my 1125r from the St Pauls in the USA bloody shipping doubled the cost entirely.

Has anyone got any 1125r/cr gaskets (any of them except exhaust) laying around in your garage?

I'd gladly take them off your hands as I'm after doing an engine rebuild.

Thanks in advance. Paul.

Did you have a look at twinmotorcycles?
There is also extra costs for shipping and customs , but maybe less!?

Hi Brother in Buells,

Yeah, I looked at Twin Motorcycles 560 euros for a complete set + shipping.

I just can't bring myself to shell out that much for a gasket set as any parts I need are likely to make the cost of repair simply too damn expensive.

I'll strip it anyway to have a look just out of curiosity, if I can get to the problem (rattling noise from the left side of the cylinders), with just the top end off, I may think about buying some Head gaskets at 86 euros each but other than that, it'll be just a strip down and sell the parts.

It isn't the rotor nut, and doesn't look like there's anything wrong inside the Stator casing as I've had that off to check. Luckily gaskets for that casing were two for $15 and no tax as they just came in an envelope.

It sounds like something to do with the cam chain tensioner runners or something like that. I'm not sure if I can get at them with just the cam covers off, but we'll see when I have the engine out again. I have a spare engine so I'll try that one and see what it's like.

Thanks for the reply though. Paul
