That set up may be for '08 models. Fork internals on the '09 is slightly different.

And if you are an 08 owner, the supplied manual has incorrect information. You need to look at the settings on the Buell website...

Am I correct in thinking then that the rear shock uses both a high ramp and a low ramp for adjustment?

The spring's too f*cking hard, whatever you do to it. :(

I weigh about 11.5 stone/73 Kg - start with the Buell settings (I've had 2 versions of the handbook with different figures in!) and then just back everything off, one item at a time. English roads are very different to the track - I can only imagine the handbook settings were worked out on track or very good flat roads!

Measure sag - front & rear - I was surprised at just how much there was at the rear cos I felt like the spring was just too hard too Markj.
Get that right BEFORE you adjust any damping settings.

Once you've got it right - keep a note of 'your' personal settings, You can always count back to 'zero' on any adjuster if you lose track. Be brave, if you adjust gradually it's unlikely you'll cause any handling problems along the way. I spent a few days getting mine just right (ie best compromise for me) to make sure I tried each adjustment across a range of speeds and conditions.
