As those on LeJog will know, my Uly was suspiciously quiet each time we stopped while everyone else had the reassuring fan noise, finally got it into the dealers for a 5k service (800 miles late :oooops: ) and to get the fan sorted.

Appears the fan is FUBAR and replacement 5-7 days.

Is there a history of fan failures or am I just unlucky?

CJ, that's why I didn't have it back for Cosford and hence turning up in the car :oooops:

Are there any recomended upgrades or changes to avoid future failures, excluding selling it and getting a tuber of course ;)

TPS reset, breather mod and then change the wheel bearings. If that doesn't cure it pm ph4824 he has more information than everyone else put together.

The clue was in the original post (5k service) wheel bearings shot at 5k, extra 800 miles of extra vibration killed the fan. Moral..... get it service on time, and the wheel bearings changed
