 Post subject: Belt keeps slipping off

Ok well it cant actually come off I know lOl but its trying to slip off the rear sprocket and rubbing against the frame making a loud squeeky noise, any ideas what I can do to fix this ?

nope, not had anything done to it since buying it, was just about to give it a service this weekend

It somthing I can do myself ? Or something I really should get looked at by a pro ?

Feel a bit out of my depth with the Buell at the mo as I dont have a workshop guide yet lOl Only the basic manual

I had exactly the same problem with my XB . A small hairline crack in the belt was causing this to happen [ ta Maz ] .
Try revolving the back wheel until the point that the belt starts to run untrue , now turn the wheel further until you can see the inside face of the belt at the same point. Inspect this area very carefully ! [ maz used a torch to aid vision ]
Maz showed /explained how a small stone had got trapped between belt and sprocket resulting in the damage . A new belt and FS tensioner fitted and problem solved ..... just wished i had fitted the tensioner earlier :headbang:
