Went out for a blast today and when I got back my cooling fan was running as usual but not at full speed or even half speed. it was only just ticking over as if it was not getting full 12 volts or had a bad earth. Thought to myself F---it! whipped the shock out and then the fan. Gave it 12 volts and it ran lovely. This means I broke my golden rule of never strip till you have checked current/voltage etc. :oooops:
Checked all earth’s, checked feed, checked loom back to the ECU.
The ecu switches these fans so I had full bat volts to the fan and all the way back to the ecu. Stuck it all back together and got the Espy out. Warmed her up and the fan worked fine, also ran via the espy. All now ok.
Any ideas? Is this the first signs of fan failure?
