Can an XB12 engine be built into sportster cases? What parts are required if so? cheers.

I hear what your saying, but it's not really what I asked, don't want to strip a bike just for an engine, but I know where I can get an XB12 motor from a crashed bike, so rather than taking a perfectly good Buell off the road I'd be kinda resurrecting one ;)

I have the chance of another XB12 engine, was thinking of building a bobber using as many Buell parts as possible.
The XB style mounts don't lend themselves to a cradle type frame, although I have seen XB motors in conventional frames I doubted the structural integrity of mounting the motor like that.
The sportster cases idea was to allow conventional mounting in a cradle frame, I like the power delivery of my buell, and just fancied doing something different as a project (if it didn't work out I'm left with spares for my XB)

The sportster(04 on) is a shit to mount as it to is rubber mounted but in other points.
A sportster motor can be as good as a buell motor with a bit of work as its the same give or take this and that.
