Hi, In my experience, Pash is so right, HD ones really are the ones to fit. I've lost count of the number of problem bikes I've seen that the source of a running problem has been, in part, to having changed to NGK on Harley's and Buells that people have fitted as they are a well respected brand in the bike industry.
But these American air cooled, push rod engines just don't like em for what ever the reason. While I'm on the subject, leave the performance Buell spark plugs alone too, standard is best.

The 1125's have NGK as standard and are very good.

Complete and utter waste of money IMO.

As Jon says H-D are the best and are a fraction of the cost of Iridium.

What would one expect to pay for the HD / Champion plugs from a dealership (10R12X ?) and where else could one purchase them ??

I agree, much better that the HD standard plugs and cheaper to :D HD's are £4.58ea inc vat here in the UK from Stratstone Walthamstow (North London)

I have had no end of problems with the HD plugs, switched to the NGK's and touch wood, all fine with smoother running and no coughs and splutters at lower rev range ;)

I've only changed the plugs twice in 30,000miles on my S1. I only swapped them because they looked rusty on the outside.
A tenner each time ain't gonna kill me. I'll stick with HD ones. :yup:

I have used iridium plugs on my Japanese bikes (very fiddly access to the plugs) because they last 30-35k with ease (my own experience). Still, since replacing plugs on my M2 takes a minute rather than a day I stick with standard HD 10R12 plugs. I guess they are rebadged NGK or Champion plugs but given the low price and good quality I can't be bothered to find out.
