My Lightnings rear shock is u/s, is it able to be reconditioned.
If not is an aftermarket shock available as i've been quoted approx 6 weeks

Hope you guys can help.

There's a company in the NW that claims to be able to do it but you'll be wasting your money. I've sampled their wares and they're really shite. I think they forgot to put any oil back in it from the way it performed
Take the advice Maz gave you and fit an AST. It's possibly THE best performance accessory you could fit to a Buell and it won't grenade your motor 8-)

:?: Why do they list a different shock for the X1 & M2 - I can't think what is different apart from the X1 being a little heavier. My M1 has a recall shock fitted which entailed a different front mount if I remember - does the AST take account of that?

Yes.

AST will custom build a shock to your exact requirements.

Ask Ronnie (post above yours) as he makes the AST

.....damping rates, hydraulic platforms, piggyback remotes, colours etc. etc.

on our website there are no tuber shocks on :?

I only need to know the length of the shock(420 or 380)and your weight, that's all.
