X1 Lightning 2000, 4500 miles, MOT April 2011, not ridden since, 2 owners, black with silver chequered tank and screen and front mudguard, customised, alloy wheels, forcewinder, scorpion exhaust, not sure if remapped, makes a lovely noise. All servicing done by me, with all Harley parts, all oils changed, new front brake pads, brake fluid changed and bleed, primary chain adjusted, new plugs, has 2 new mirrors, tyres good. The bike comes with useful spares, a petrol tank with a good pump, a complete set of instruments, a back paddock stand, a few small bits and a workshop manual on disc. Price negotiable around £3500. Must see.

:old: I have not ridden bikes for fifty years so have not tested this one. It was taken as a bad debt and I decided to work on it being a petrol head. The MOT tester at Hogbitz Limited said it was a good 'un.

Sorry about there being no pictures, (am not very good with the computer) but if you contact me by PM with Email address I will send you some. Royzeboyze

I reckon an X1 with standard paintwork will sell a lot quicker than a custom job.
I'll swop my plain black bodywork for yours!! :) :) :)

I think if I could sell mine I could be VERY tempted in this one!

Anyone know how the X1 compares to a 2009 XB12ss in terms of performance, ridability, torque, handling reliability?

PH, if I let you have it, will you promise not to whinge about it for the next 10 years when it's not clinically perfect in every way?

Is this your bike digger? If so why is it being sold by another user?

O dear am I seen as a whinger here? I am a perfectionist but I'm also a realist too, if the bike is that good in real life with nothing to hide then why would i whinge? Its second hand so theres bound to be some blemishes! But I may have to ask the odd question from time to time like what oil? What Tyres? Lol

No Sir, I'm just very tempted by it - but I'm happy to sit on my hands & let you buy it if you promise to play nicely lOl

Sometimes, just sometimes, I think you're expecting Japanese perfection from a Buell, and you'll never get that.

It looks a nice bike to me, but the history sounds slightly sketchy? I would make sure that he holds full and correct title to it before you do anything else.
