Curious about the hesitation issue at a figure of 10 I altered the 5-8000 range cells to 15 and road tested... bike appeared respond the same as it was with original figure of 22..

Pash..Have you had time to find any tweaks to improve my idle/low speed running yet??
Sometimes when pulling away from standstill it feels like it will stall and needs careful clutch/throttle balancing..tickover is sometimes rough too!

There is also a later factory flash available avail for my XT im told by local stealer..is it worth having it done and does a factory flash do anything we cant do with ecmspy?

So lets start with the first issue; in the Flags/Switches window, scroll down till you find Error Mask Byte 4: AMCxxx

Double click all the AMC related ones and untick the tick box...

Then Save Bin As.... under a different name...

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR ORIGINAL EEPROM CONTENT SAVED SOMEWHERE SAFE

Since we are doing one thing at a time, use ECMRead to burn the EEPROM content back to your ECM...

The factory reflash will update your firmware, which ECMSpy doesn't do. The firmware is the framework in which the configuration data that ECMSpy modifys works.

I would say yes, get that done then work out what still needs work...

Spoke to my nearest dealer, Shaw HD..Service manager said the latest flash is 422 but could not tell me the firmware type..
He did say the cooling fan is on all the time the engine is running with this update..
Am I correct in thinking this can be set in tunerpro to come on and off as it does with my current ecm config, if I don't want the fan on all the time ? Otherwise I could see the fan having a short lifespan.. :!:

Don't know if this helps but when I had my ECM reflashed the report said...

Part Number: Y0152.1AM
Calibration ID: M31EC27Z

Also EBR told me this
...I’d suggest you contact customer service and ask for the ’09 fan strategy to be flashed back into the ECM. If all else fails email me back. We can configure an ECM in such a manor, but your first stop should be the formal communication channels of customer service and a dealer.
...Yes the fan on/off strategy can be altered to your liking.

Twin Motorcycles says he can't edit the fan strategy, so I wonder if only Harley/Buell/EBR can?

No, unfortunately not. But you could find out by poking around in those white spots still left ... ;)

Ah! see what you mean now.. not sure i'm an experienced enough explorer to dabble in the unknown yet!
Can the 'fan duty cycles' etc not be altered to switch it off when the engine temperature drops, due to natural air cooling when in motion? Do you know what triggers the fan to run now?
