Well at 700 miles the buell had to go back in to the dealer, unable to maintain steady speed, acceleration great, went to one pot coming back from Thruxton only for a few seconds, just as I looked down, I saw the engine mangment light go out
had it in for its first service reflashed the ECM, no fault code recorded & still not right, took a ride to Paignton bike night with Mitch last week, and hey presto engine mangment light came, on no extra probs still running ok, so I carried on down the A38, after five or so miles the light went out, carried on home, contacted John at Plymouth HD, asked me to get the bike in for Sat AM, agreed to drop off friday night and get a lift home, on arrival Friday they got the bike straight in to the workshop and bingo it recorded the fault, a faulty o2 sensor, they have still got the bike but think I may have a faulty ECM too, should get it back in the next couple of days.
On the plus side rather than give me a lift home they gave me the XB9SX dark to play with, amazing the difference between the engine charicteristics, alot of fun, more round town, but just as good on the twisties, anyway hope to have mine back before the weekend, not too bothered about the fault occuring, i deal with problems every day
