Caption competition time then :D

As a guide, your caption should ideally include the words "Graham", "Spook" and "Maz" ;)

CJ mentioned his Janes dedication.

I am allways impressed by both of you spending most the time on the gate :yup: :4roz:

Impressive!

What a sad thought :( ......Up to us all to make sure that we can achieve good numbers at this excellent event well into the future :yup:

Jane doesn't mind being on the gate for most of the day and I can usually 'mingle' after the busy period when most arrivals have err, arrived. If we used their staff we wouldn't be able to split the admission fee between the Aviation Centre (£3.50) and Papworth Hospital (£2.50). They trust us to run the event in a professional manner and we've built up a great working relationship with all the staff at the Aviation Centre.

Before riding home on Sunday we called into the Aviation Centre for their classic car show. They were very complimentary about UKBEG's event on Saturday. It has become one of their major events and as long as I'm around it will continue.

In my opinion, with the exception of die-hard enthusiasts, interest in Buell motorcycles will gradually fade away and we may struggle to attract decent numbers at future East Kirkby events.

Good question, Ian. I sent an e-mail to the VOC events organiser back in March and he replied so they had their usual invite.

On Saturday I was told that the VOC had chosen to attend the classic car show the following day but there was no sign of them on Sunday.

hi all, late review of the day from me,

   says it all for me
what a great event, the mrs came with me a was annoyed at how little i was listening as we checked out the tubers! (one day jack one day!)

loved watching the lanc and the fly over by the hurricane! amazing entertainment, we even enjoyed playing mavrick and goose in the cockpit in the museum!

Sorry i didnt mingle more, will pick up the courage next time to just jump in and chat the buell!

I couldnt help feeling the itch to get my bike modded now so it deserves to be stood with some of your guys motors! really impressed.

Cheers to rick and tigs as always your really inviting to me, being 'in the trade' i miss out on a lot of the rideouts and events and spend most of my time riding solo midweek, although i have now met and chatted to a few guys who visit me up at st leger and will be swapping details so we can head out for a blast.

All in all, a great event, well organised and well executed!

Don't despair CJ, although I/we missed out attending this year, I am hopeful that at least I will attend next year. It was too much, too soon after our holiday, even though we planned our return early especially so we could attend the event, just too much to deal with. Bad planning, as we also missed 'Festival of 1000 bikes'!!!
Next year.........!!!!!

Finally got time to get on here and say THANKS to CJ and Jane for another wonderful day. Although still feeling guilty that I never got chance to say hi to Jane, double hugs next time I see her.

Glad I managed to surprise everyone by being there...... been really busy over the past few weeks, and just hadn't had chance to post up that we were coming down.

Ed spent most of the day planning what he's going to do with his Buell when he gets one.... yep we got another convert...... I let him have the keys to Binky before we set off, and was not surprised to hear the giggling as he walked back up the drive. Thankfully the scg is just a wee bit too small for him. I'm not sharing my bike!

Yes Em's day is worth the effort, it's almost a 1000 mile round trip for me, and it's the one Buell event that I won't miss. This year I had to be back home on Sunday, and cos of the weather forecast decided to do the very boring run up the motorway. (A1/A66/M6 etc) Was really wet and nasty when I set off, but the weather got better the further north I went which is most unusual. Normally have to put on extra clothes at each fuel stop.Just before I got home I found some corners....... lOl

It was great to see everyone, and Ed is still wondering where you're gonna put that stamp girls?????

Really wishing I could make D3, but just started a new placement, and I'm working that weekend, and can't swap it.
