13/14/15th August, Fri/Sat/Sun. Next round of the CRMC C'ships. Lots of extra events apparently, parades, shows.... free camping.

We'll be there. Lea (Gourlay) currently in Belgium (Chimay) racing, comes back next week then does 3 meetings at Brands Hatch, (including the XR1200 race at BSB), the Ulster GP then comes straight from the UGP to Donington Park on the Friday to race with us.

The Diggertours/Spencer Suzuki is still leading the Classic Ultralightweight class even after a series of ignition failures.

spen when did they get donny sorted then? the company i do some work for rents a unit up at donny - we train digger drivers amongst other things.
when it all went tits up we were locked out by the asset strippers and we couldnt get in to get any of our stuff.
at that point we could get down to the track and half of it was missing! we are now not allowed to get track side so dont know what sort of state its in - but there dont seem to have been much work going on down there?

DONINGTON UPDATE.
Robert Fearnall the circuit manager called me on Thursday 8th July to inform me that all is going to plan for our meeting in August.

The tarmac contractors had to leave site on the Monday to repair track problems at Silverstone for the F1 but were to be back on site by the end of the week.

The CRMC will be admitted to the circuit on Thursday 12th August at lunchtime to prepare for the meeting starting at 09.00 on Friday.

Final instructions will be going out at the end of July. If you have booked a garage you will receive a Paddock A pass, paddock B passes will be issued for the main paddock. Please do not use the grass area on the left just inside the barrier as that is reserved for marshal’s camping. Another area will be reserved outside the media centre for a bike display including Honda 6. Trophy presentation for Friday and Saturday events will be in the media centre on Saturday evening followed by a band. Please bring your own liquid refreshments.

Please note that some are under the impression that the entry fee has increased which it has but it is for FOUR races as requested by many riders. For the last 2 years we could only run 3 races due to time constraints but this year we have 3 full days to ourselves.

The Norton Rotary factory bikes will be there along with Chris Walker who is also their sales manager.

Entries are coming in fast so make sure you do not miss out.

THE CRMC WILL BE ESTABLISHING ALL RACE AND LAP RECORDS!

Some people still do not seem to believe that Donington will happen. We have no reason to believe that the meeting will not go ahead. However, should there be some unforeseen problem (as could happen anywhere) and the meeting does not run all riders will receive a FULL refund.

Roger Bryant.

Chairman CRMC Ltd.

Would love to be there to see the Diggertours bike take the outright lap record, but sadly I have an appointment that weekend with a Mr Lorenzo, a Mr Meanwell and a couple of his nieces.

DONINGTON UPDATE. DATED 28TH JULY

The Circuit repairs are now complete and the ACU inspection is scheduled for next week with the CRMC present.

All CRMC riders and officials at our meeting will receive a complimentary T Shirt to celebrate the CRMC reopening this famous circuit.

Remember this year you get 4 club races instead of 3 and/or 4 parades.

Classic Racer has kindly donated £1,000.00 prize money for the Wheatcroft Trophy race.

There is £2,300.00 prize money up for grabs in the 2 ACU UK Championship races.

There is also prize money for the winning team in the Anglo Nordic Challenge race.

The CRMC will be admitted to the circuit at 14.00 on the Thursday.

Those with reserved garages will receive paddock 1 passes and those in the main paddock will receive paddock 2 passes.

Please do not park on the grass area just inside the gate as this area is reserved for marshals camping.

An area outside the media centre will be reserved for a bike display which will include Honda 6.

The Norton factory rotary race bikes will be present along with Chris Walker.

Trophy presentation for Friday and Saturday races in the media centre on Saturday evening + band afterwards, please bring your own liquid refreshments.

BRING PLENTY OF FUEL FOR THE EXTRA LAPS!
