I think I have asked this question before, but can't find the bloomin' thread now. I've decided to go back to factory suspension settings as an experiment - they've been tweaked lots over the space of a year, but no resets in that time.

In the manual's suspension settings tables, does 1-7/8 mean 'between 1 and 7/8', or '1 PLUS 7/8'?

I promise to write the answer in the manual this time so I don't forget again.

Ta.

Number of turns from fully screwed in, so 1-7/8 is one and 7/8 of a turn, or 15/8s

Thanks.

Out of interest, is that the way we used to write the imperial measurements? ie. with a dash to signify AND ? Just wondering if it's the universal or just American way of writing it.

Blimey. :?
Do folks really not know that?
Whole units & fractions were expressed without any punctuation, as below

1?

How did we used to express farthings in writing? Even I can't remember that far back!
