 Post subject: 1125 belt life ?

hi i,m interested in knowing how long the life of the belt is on the 1125 ?

an any issues etc ?
i,ve a uly but looking at a 1125 as i feel the need for speed !

I've had no issues so far, I can't see why the 1125 would have any belt issues that the XB hasn't.

:? ....XB is plagued with belt issues and I predict the 1125 will be just as bad, if not worse :roll:

:x Mine snapped, luckily on a straight bit of road, 7440 miles Calling Harley D Tomorrow, only 11 months old....!! Only had it serviced on Friday at HD Cheltenham...!! :twisted:

Are you saying the gearbox output bearings are suspect on an XB, or the 1125 ?
As for the belt life, my 1125 snapped the belt at 12k just 18 days ago......still waiting for my dealer to get a replacement.......getting a little fed up now :(

Belt broke at 12300 miles. Appeared to be in good order just beforehand.
Bit of a nuisance because I already had one on order and was going to change it at 12500 miles as a precaution. Will be changing at 10000 miles in future!!!
No marks discernable on sprockets to account for failure.
