Was planning on doing this at some point.... maybe getting one this weekend as we have some vouchers to spend at Halfords and I don't fancy some LED strip lights.

Seen some pics of it done on a Firebolt. They split the wee compressor from the horn and hid the compresser under the seat unit fairings.....

any ideas where it can fit on an XB Lightning?

Hmm, looks tight getting it under the flyscreen, especially since I added and extra relay in there for my heated grips.

I'm thinking of mounting on the left hand frame rails..... we'll see how it pans out.

The drummer from my band has bought some LED strips lights to put on the Chinese 200cc off-road Suzuki copy he has bought.

He's not allowed out with me.

Maybe we should get the Chinese to build Buell copies! - Then you could go out with him

Not to a Lightning GT as mine is a Uly.

Its a top mod though and it puts air between "feet and ground" with use. I had one guy try and hit me because it scared him so much . Well worth 20 odd quid.

Did the same on my Gixxer, put compressor under pillion cover, and horns inside left hand seat fairing, connected with orange propane hose, works fine. Looked at fitting one behind fly screen on Lightning by splitting up parts, reckon it's a winter project.
Friend hung his down by the oil cooler, dosn't look neat tho, could make a bracket to fit on black stay on left hand side, still won't look neat.

I did it once by splitting the trumpet (put where the current horn is) and the compressor (fitted between the headlamps) and connecting them together with a tube. It had some lag and lost some of its noise due to location.

I am back to the standard horn on the Future, however the Uly has a Naughtylus fitted and the S1 a Magnum.

Anyone who thinks that horns are for wimps obviously don't know what they are for (i.e. tooting at girls)...

Was it too quiet? Was thinking of maybe mounting the horns above the rear wheel, on the bracket for the panniers, but not sure where the compressor would go.

I've never used the horn on any bike I've ever owned, except at the MOT.
