It's a medical fact that carrying so much weight on my back has deformed my spine such that it projects my stomach foward making my belly look big. :D My home cure of Real ale may not be working too well tho
I prefer Steve's photo to Jill's as it's not so side on. :oooops:

A good turn out considering weather and quite a few newbies.Good effort especially the first timers :yup: Sorry didn't realise the couple on the Red Firebolt were on a Buell. They sat at a table alone unfortunately, would have said hello if realised :oooops: Hope all got back OK and the Hasting duo didn't wind up the cops too much.

Thanks to Chris and Jane for organising this, once again.
They even managed to get us a discounted rate for the museum.

I'm sure Mich thought I was taking the piss when I told him my little story about the BSA Bantam and German rocket technology, so this is for him:

Nice to see everybody.

We've held 7 UKBEG Buell days at Sammy Miller's museum and have been pretty lucky with the weather, but this years was definitely the wettest. We can't thank you guys (and girls) for turning out on such a mixed day :worthy:...

There were 30+ bikes, 25 of which were Buells. It was great to see so many new faces, I think we managed to speak to almost everyone.

Over the weekend we covered 499.6 miles (to be exact) and 90% of that was on dry roads. I guess we were just unlucky that that part of Hampshire had the bad weather. It seemed pretty local to that area because we didn't have to ride far before stopping to remove our waterproofs.

A few of Jane's pictures :4roz:...

Our motel on Saturday night - we couldn't quite manage to park our bikes in reception :D...

Looks likie a classic Sammy Miller's meet 8-) Sorry I couldn't make it but have used up a few too many leave passes over the past couple of months with UKBEG gatherings, HOG events and XR1200 races :?

Snatched a few hours out on the S1W though and took myself to the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling where I met up with Alison and Steve and Bernie, Kim and Steph. Bernie was DJ to the closed off High Street so we all had VIP status to watch our old mate Craig Jones and sidekick Wing strutting his stuff on Kawasakis. Not quite the same without the sound of American V-Twins but a spectacular show all the same.

Saw a bright yellow X1 with "Blotter" painted on the tank ridden by a Toyboy lookalike :old: He didn't look at all gay lOl

Have a full weekend pass for XR1200 racing at Cadwell Park next week so look forward to seeing a few of you there.

Steve

Thanks again CJ and JJ for another decent meet. :sun:
Excellent effort by many new members turning up, despite the weather. Keep showing up and we all get to know each other eventually. 8-)
I managed to avoid getting wet (apart from the roads and the emptying of the parasol) and was good to see the usual suspects and meet a few new ones.
Glad to see Kevmean back safe in Blighty on the CR. 2800 miles with no breakdowns must go some way to restore faith in the 1125 range. :yup:
The only downer for me was that Ash's Mum wasn't there. ;)

Good to see you Steve & amazed that out of all the bikes there you managed to park next to my KTM without realising it was mine!! lOl Was a good afternoon & whatever you think of him Craig Jones is a very talented guy! Had a nice spirited ride home trying to make sure I kept up with the DrainRod & we both managed to get splattered by a cloud of flys  lOl
