I imagine the guy's done a good job on it.

Don't like what he's done though!
Should have just bought a Sportster and swapped the engine.

But the reason people choose to pull Buells apart is the very fact that second hand they're virtually worthless and cheaper than a Harley to do this. Many of the very early Buells met this fate. I remember talking with Mr Buell about this subject years ago when he was at Silverstone and he sighed and said that in his opinion it made the worth (worth as motorcycles, not as in money worth) of remaining bikes so much more valuable. I agree, but it is still sad to see abortions like this built. Besides, in probably less than 10 years time most of the Buells on the roads today will have disappeared off the roads as irrepairable.

Let's get this straight, the bloke suffers with neck and back problems, so he builds that POS

I'm certain that if Erik discovered that his name was being associated with that thing, he'd be highly offended.
Whether or not you like the latest versions of frame that Erik uses in his designs, they are light years ahead of the dreadful Zodiac pipework with its heritage straight from saddletank bikes

If that's the contempt that Jersey HD staff show Buell, they can do without my future custom :x

Come on, give the guy a break, he has created a bike that suits his purpose and he has enjoyed doing it. Just cos it isn't your cup of tea, it doesn't mean it is a POS.

And before I get attacked, out flanked and then ambushed as I head for cover, it is not my cup of tea...

What's really pissed me off Pash, is the fuckin' nerve he has associating the name of Buell with the decidedly mediocre and boringly unimaginative contraption he's bolted together.

No "break" here. It, and all the others just like it are pure stinking afterbirth and it should not be called a Buell. It doesn't belong here, IMO. Just so's you're sure, it is a POS. Just like all the others.

I just wish I had a drive and a shed - I would imagine that the drive would have weeds and the shed needing alittle tlc. But it would be offset by my 'buell'.

I rather like it :)
As far as these cruiser type bikes go, it's got a decent engine and decent brakes.
Not sure if it has handling to match though.
Looks well built and would certainly stand out amongst the sanitized factory cruisers that are churned out.
Looking forward to seeing it close up at NEC.

Regarding the opinions that have been posted - is it that your regular Buell owner doesn't like the cruiser style of bike, or that they don't like that a Buell has been transformed into something like this?

It's got a Buell engine, but it isn't a Buell.

Ah, I see, so if pebble35 had called it a "heavily modified Buell", or a "custom bike with Buell engine and front end" then it would have got a more positive response? :)
