A good weekend away but a disappointing one for our team. Warren had a call on Saturday to say that his Gran had had a stroke. Left Cadwell to go back and see her and had another call when he had reached Kettering to say that she had passed away
After seeing the family he decided to race in his Gran's memory because she had encouraged him to race in the first place.
Sunday morning practice he had an off, was caught up by the bike and broke his damaged arm again
Medical Centre, morphine, transport to hospital, end of season and voted "Unluckiest Team in the Paddock" by the other riders.
From a social point of view it was great
Jill Brown and Ade played a blinder by setting up a tent for me and blagged me into the campsite which was sold out two weeks ago. Tent, airbed, blanket, storm lantern, beer, coffee and good company. Thanks, folks
Also hooked up with Kevmean and Digger with their respective entourages and big lenses. A few of the guys from work came up and George bumped into Wurth. Also saw a red XB12SS coming through the gates two up early on Monday.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of Digger's photos and finding out if the series will run again next year.
