We were up in the Lake District last weekend and stopped at the cafe at the new Motor Museum - it's an impressive set-up and easy to find.

We had lunch on their veranda overlooking the river in beautiful sunshine - we'll try to repeat that perfect scene on the 10th October :yup:...

Tempting though the offer sounds, Chris, nothing will stop me being at Cadwell Park that day, sorry.

That's a shame, I was going to buy* you lunch.

* :ill: terms and conditions apply, subject to availability...

We're going to Cadwell on Saturday, 9th, so if the weather behaves itself it should be a cracking weekend :P...

I'll definitely be there, barring any further mishaps but it may well have to be on four wheels rather than two

At last, a weather forecast that looks just about perfect for the whole weekend :sun: ...

Conditions are set to optimum for Cumbria on Sunday.

Norrie - that's understandable, but if you do decide to attend have a safe ride down.

If we had an 'Iron Butt' award you would probably win it this year :worthy:...

Chris and Jane's most excellent weekend - part 2:

I'd ordered a perfect Autumn day and we had a perfect Autumn day - it couldn't have been better. We had a great ride up to the Lake District there early today on deserted roads with the sun slowly burning off the mist, and managed to miss the worst of the day tripper traffic on the way back home.

We'd like to thank Martin for the suggestion of using the Lakeland Motor Museum for a UKBEG meet - it's an excellent location and we enjoyed the 4 hours that we spent there.

There were 3 UKBEG bikes at today's meet - thanks to Paul, Martin and Sharon for attending.

Left to right, Paul, Martin, Jane and CJ...
