You're welcome, Timo, it's the least I could do.

We are hoping to join in the fun on this. Is anyone leaving from the Heathrow Area? Looks about 170 miles one way. Am planning to leave early and take plenty of "wee" breaks. Looking at M25 and A1M. If anyone going on this route, let me know. :?:

Glad you're sorted, Martin.

I think that just leaves Graham (Mo) and Debs who were originally booked in at the Haywain - I've sent them a PM with details about the Buell Hotel.

Hi Ronnie

It's great news that you're definitely coming over to England for Em's Day.

Do you know approximately how many Dutch Buell riders are coming and do you want me to arrange accommodation near East Kirkby for you?

Regrettably I/we won’t be there this year. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Some idiot has booked a holiday for his wife’s birthday without consulting the UKBEG calendar. :yc: :yc:  :oooops: :oooops:

Will be thinking of you all on the day and raising a glass to those we’ve lost. :(

I've managed to arrange alternative reasonably priced accommodation at The Bull Hotel, in Horncastle. This is approximately 8 to 10 miles from East Kirkby. (I keep typing the 'Buell Hotel' for some strange reason )

Noooooo... that's miles away :D

Blimey, that's a while ago although I was thinking of exactly that when I read CJ's post!

IIRC, Tim's X1, my X1, HJ's Duracell S1, Rik's M2, Betty's X1 and cK's cable-tied Sportster as his yellow M2 was off the road.

Was that one of my photoshopchops? I was working at Adobe at the time, IIRC.

Edited to add No, I've just found my version. I was a lot less subtle than you.

Thanks, Ronnie, when I spoke to the landlady at the Buell Hotel this morning she said she had a double/twin room that could be converted to take 3 people. That might be an option for you - if it's still available.

FWIW, Wifey and I stayed at the Bull some years ago, 2001 I think.
It was reasonably priced and served a very good, traditional, greasy fry up stylie breakfast the following morning. The Ritz it ain't, but give me down to earth type places anytime.
The only slight criticism would be that the bar was a bit of a youth club on the Friday night and Horncastle isn't exactly the centre of the entertainment universe, but hey - I can get rat-arsed anywhere ;)

There's also safe(ish) parking out the back.

I so wish I could come to this event! Was just told about it by a friend on the SV650 forum, but I'm away that weekend :-(

I'm guessing this is an annual event, but is it on the same weekend every year? If so, I can put it in the diary and turn up next year on my new Buell (I'll have it by then)!

Also, is there a web page that donations can be made on....my friends told me about Emma and so I'd like to make my contribution if I can.

This should help GG

Its a pity you cant make Emma's day this year but what about Deliverance at Adam's in Oswestry

http://ukbeg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=969

Both are yearly event and attract most of us like bees round a honey pot ;)

And you will love the road up to Adam's place its built for off roaders ;)
