 Post subject: neutral light switch

first little problem i've had so far, neutral light switch has packed up, no light on dash, and only start's with clutch lever pulled in, what sort of job is it to change, and any body got one spare, thanks in advance

You need to take the sprocket cover off, loosen off the back wheel, take the sprocket off then you can get at the neutral light switch with a socket.

Switch is supplied with a washer.......you'll need a thin walled 5/8'' socket.

...which is a common size spark-plug socket before you go and buy one specially... ;)

Thin walled.....as in most standard 5/8'' sockets wont fit :idea:

Had this problem on my XB, it was the cable conector on the switch. Took it of cleaned it and refitted with vasoline. Sorted. :yup:

...which most (half decent) 5/8" (or 16mm AF) for 10mm spark-plugs sockets are.... :roll:
