With Westminster its just a way of making money. All there "talk" is just flannel to cover this up. The motorist "cash cow" is drying up and they need to invent ever more clever ways of bleeding money from us .

If people are now nicking Buells, for parts, thats going to be a right pain in the arse.

No it's not probably get parts faster than HD dealers. Wouldn't suprise me if it was HD stealing the bikes back for parts.

Well, it still hasn't surfaced, and I'm sure we all can do the math on the odds of seeing it again after this amount of time.

So, preempting insurance discussions, anyone looking to part with an '07 STT?

Ash, Yourguitarhero, crabbitbear?

I'll put a post in the wanted, but pls PM me should anyone find a decent pre-loved example.

Cheers all, hoping to be back in the fold soon.

And look also for an Ss, since they have the same bone structure as the STT.

Thanks guys,
I would consider the Ulysses or SS route, but I do have a soft spot for the STT's (seat height, sus travel etc just feel right), so that's my first preference that I'll try to hold out for, and failing that, I'll have to stretch the ideals to the other options.

Just saw a beautifully maintained '99 Black X1, 15k miles, w/ V&H and Force intake, asking $4000. (2500 GBP) on Badweb. Shipping and import, and you still have a winner.

I've been dealt a sermon :maz: and I would seriously consider it. In fact, I've had a sneaky shot at parting the prophet with his own bible, but he forcefully declined.

I'm have only a small reservation about using a tuber as an everyday, all weather commute that I'm expecting you all to destroy by quick reply. In my mind, a tuber is a thing of beauty to cherish for good weather days, were as an xb is always going fade away, rust, fall apart anyway, so I'd be less inclined to worry about taking it out in the rain salt.

Not sure I'd buy something I haven't seen in the flesh, but you now have me thinking...

I'm still using my S1 every day for commuting. I just clean it at weekends.
It's starting to look like a bag of shit, but it will be a teenager next year. lOl

C5, you have a PM. Or I think you do!

If you get nothing, can you let me know?

(And, yes, Steve, my contacting somebody in the market for an STT replacement, and bumping the THOR thread, means exactly what you think it means...I am flirting with a Buell-free existence...)
