The last 'meet-n-ride' of 2010 :( ...

This event has a weather permitting clause but we hope for a clear, crisp day that's not too cold Image ....

All makes of motorcycle are welcome - you don't have to arrive on a Buell.

Meet between 11.00 and 11.30 am at the Little Chef, Shiptonthorpe, A1079/A614.

Location details: here

After a ride through the Yorkshire Wolds our final destination will be a coastal resort where fish & chips :P are readily available and the seagulls are very friendly...

I'm sure he (or she) didn't do it on purpose although you must admit it was very funny - out of all the bikes there, it chose a Honda to poop on :D.....

What do they call it when something triggers a part of your memory, and it takes you right back to a time and a place? Anyway that. 8-)

OOOOOOHHH Pray tell Digger Sir, what have you got that runs on Castrol R..... :o

A lad at work runs his grass cutter on it, there lass thinks he's lost the plot, but having been around 7R's and G50's for most of my life I know where he's comming from. So Digger whats in your garage?? apart from a Buell and a GT500..

Stay lucky Woody.

The T500 has a large spoonful of R in the fuel, Woody.

It will come as no surprise to learn that we've decided to cancel Sunday's meet-n-ride.

I've twiddled a few knobs and pulled a few levers but I can't do anything about this early wintry blast Image ....

:(

Based on yesterday's weather, Image I'd have made the same decision...but today is beautiful over here in East Yorks - Image once the ice had thawed, around 10am, it's a cracking day.

However I agree the forecast is not looking too friendly.

Might have a chortle round the Wolds on Sunday - the Buell hasn't been out much since the early Summer :(

I'm sure we did the right thing cancelling today's event. Temperatures haven't risen above freezing in our part of Yorkshire and we've had another light covering of snow this afternoon.

Ever the optimist, I'll plan some more 'meet-n-rides' for January and February :?...

Well, you were right to cancel - we had the heaviest November snowfall EVER here yesterday - virtually a foot deep chez Digger - Image

Drove back from pals at Hotham Sat night , MINUS 9 at 11pm. Had to do a 10-mile detour to get onto the main road, gentle hill from the village was sheet ice, lost all momentum at the first bend & reversed all the way back into the village lOl

So, all in all, a good call CJ. More snow today, managed to lose my house & garage keys somewhere on the drive this morning, too .... :o :?
