As discussed with Digger last night....

For the past month or so we've been looking at options for next year, including a Scottish event which would have been based in the Isle of Skye/Applecross area. After due consideration we decided on the list you see above.

The Norway trip is something we've wanted to do for quite sometime. It will be the 30th anniversary of my first motorcycle tour there in 1981 and we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to use this trip as the basis of the 2011 UKBEG Buell Challenge.

Defo doing Em's day and deliverance.
How about the Cumbria weekend Chris. I've always enjoyed that one.

Norrie - sorry, we're not doing the Cumbria weekend next year. Jane and I decided to cut back on the number and type of events that we organise/arrange.

And all because you cast doubts on their level of commitment, Norrie. They're sensitive souls these Yorkshire folk lOl

We can still make the Cumbria weekend an official one just that Chris and Jane don't want to organise It.
I think as long as It dosen't clash with something else It will be fine.
I'm happy to organise It as It's always been a good weekend.

The 4th and 5th of June sounds good to me as the weekend after Is the Moto GP weekend.

Mitch/Norrie - you might be interested in this location which we'd chosen for the proposed Scottish weekend:

Based in Uig on the Isle of Skye, all these establishments are within walking distance of each other:

Camping and B&B available here

Hotel accommodation available here

SYHA hostel here

If you do come up with something in Cumbria or Scotland we will add it to the 2011 Events Diary. If we're available we'll come and join you - we don't need much of an excuse to head north to the mountains.

FYI - this years Cumbria weekend topic can be found here

I like the idea of the European trip. I had been planning one myself to Vilnius in the summer but the one here sounds fun too.

I had already made plans to be in Hammerfest, Norway in August, but who can resist another run with the UKBEG :yup: .

I will start saving money and plan on meeting you lot in Assen, and make the run with a group instead of alone.
