I've been searching here for some info on late Euro spec Ulysses models but still have a couple of questions.
I understand that I can fit either a 2007 header or a US spec 2008 header with a 2007 exhaust (standard or aftermarket) to regain the lost power of the Euro models. Do I just fit the US spec ECU to go with this to make it work?
I'm not interested in major tuning, just a standard US or road legal aftermarket pipe to regain the lost power. To those that have done this.........is it worth it?

Secondly, what changes were made to 2010 models and did any of them make it to the UK?

.....no I haven't bought one yet - just considering a couple of options.

You could fit the US spec ECM, however finding one might be difficult. You could also burn the US fuel maps on with ECMSpy.

There are people on the forum who run the standard ECM on late Euro bikes with US (or earlier Euro headers) with no problems (despite what some vendors might tell you) and (from my experience) giving very similar performance to earlier Euro bikes.

2010 models had an additional lambda sesnor (in the front) and a third rear wheel bearing (added to the drive side).

Thanks for that, very useful.

Is there any real world advantage to the extra sensor or would it be less hassle to have a 2008/2009 bike? Where is it mounted on the pipe? - just so that I can identify a 2010 bike if/when I see one...........assuming, of course, there are any around.

I can't see the sensor in that pic but are those indicators unique to the 2010 model or are they aftermarket?

Like the colour, lovely bike by the way.

I have the side panniers ,still waiting on the top box to match by Hopco & Becker this is a xB12xP check it out online rare in the UK 1 of 4
Will post another picture when its fully fitted out the parts are VIN only so taking a time to get last call was asking for the key no. shouldn`t be too long i hope waited since August . Only mods so far Albert can & extra tail/stop lights

Oh...and another thing. From memory there were three different seats fitted to the Uly: the tall original one, a very uncomfortable short one and a mid height one fitted to later models.
The tall one is easy to identify from pictures but I'm less sure about the other two. Any clues about how to differentiate and from which year the later seat was fitted?

The 06 model had the big fat seat. The parts and accessories book had a lower one with a gel insert as an aftermarket option.

The 07 model had a lower seat with a thinner front (better than the aftermarket gel one), this continued to 10 on both the X and XT.

I loved the original seat, hated the low one but haven't ridden a Uly for a long time so don't know what the later seat is like.

Well, I have the bike now; a 2009 model.

From my searches it seems that the "improved" 2010 rear wheel does not really solve the bearing problems - just gives you an extra bearing to replace when you change the tyres! Is that correct?

Does anyone have a part number for the US Spec/pre 2008 UK Spec headers so I can check if any are still available new. I passed my parts manuals on when I sold the Firebolt in the summer.

Anyone have any experience of the EBR ECMs for later model XBs?

As it is, I've just ordered a Free Spirits tensioner, a Triple Tail Back Pack and intend to put some miles on it when the snow clears.
