Has any one gave the Diablo Rosso a fair test.
Had a set of the original Diablo's on the S1WL and loved them proper hooligans tyre, there only fault was wear, rear only managed 1000 miles.
Now Pirelli reckon the rosso wears better but wondered if any of you in the real world had tried em.
Have found a set on offer for £180 bonus.
Being a tuber have limited choice wanted to try dunny sportsmart or conti sport attack but they no fit.
RA 2's are the other (lower grip more miles) possibility but the imense grip on the pirelli's was a lot of fun. Could also wait for the Diablo rosso II coming soon.

Given that you live so close to the superb Ogwen bends, you'd be better off with tyres that warm up quickly ;) Road Attacks are fantastic for that 8-)

Try Mich Road 2's. More expensive but cannot find end of grip, Knee , toes ,pegs down and with good wear rates.

Ive had both on my XB12r and prefer the normal diablo for the price and overall performance of the rubber, but then again to go one better Id take the cossa over the rosso / diablo

I have Conti Road Attacks and have a lean angle of 80 degrees :oooops: Not entirely sure they will grip the road at anymore or an angle than that and I will end up in a hedge :oooops:

80 degrees of lean. This will be the bike that does 190 mph and 100mpg. Never needs servicing and they pay you to ride it . 90 degrees of lean would surely be when you are laid on the floor.

just to add another one to the mix, i,ve tried afew different makes on my xb12 and my EG-SPURT opinion is bridgestone battlax bt 023 are the best ,and they are brilliant in the wet as well.[not that good in the snow though] :yup:

My problem is this.
98% of the miles I do (4-5k per year) are flat out scratching on v fast twisty mountain roads plus some track time. Never ride in town or the wet and only do motorways for the last 20miles to see Maz. I want my tyres to grip and thats it.
Trouble is 4-5 rear diablos and 2-3 fronts per season is a bit steep but I guess its the price you pay for spirited riding on brilliant roads, just a slight increase in mileage would be nice.
Have tried two different types of road biased tyres and they ruin the enjoyment of the bike........
So, do diablo rosso's last longer than standard diablos :?: . Corsa's dont fit the rear.
If not then Conti RA 2's as I'm reliably informed by other like minded riders are pretty dam sticky and warm up dead quick, usefull when you live 1/4 mile from one of the best mountain roads in britain :dance:

id go for the rosso's or the rosso II they are meant as a more sporty tyre so you may get less milage - but you will never know unless you try them.

It appears then that, the farther north one goes, the more severe the lean angle required, surely due to the tilt of the earth's axis, distance to the pole with increased rotational velocity, and all that highly scientific stuff.

Equally scientific: try out the conti road attacks or the mich pilot roads for plenty o' grip and better wear.
