RIP Eddie, the end of another era :( I used to love watching his bikes on the track when I were a lad.
Interesting that he was connected with the MZ team - was that around the time of the defection of the MZ works rider who 'stole' the secrets of stinkwheel rotary valves and brought two strokes out of the 'Villiers Era' and letting them rule the Track for the next 20 years?

I'm just daydreaming about another 2 stroke really, with two girls on the threshold of Uni, I'd be pushing my luck with Mrs Adam :)

He invented a lot of stuff.........

Adam, the offer of bits is serious, I've got engines, frames, wheels et cetera. Yours if you seriously intend building a 'cafe racer'...... or a Terry 'Lacklustre' Brocklehurst replica..... push bike speedo' and a bulb horn and daytime MOT and the smell of 2 stroke oil can fill the Oswestry air....

I think that was Dr J.Erlich? - he may not have 'invented' them, but he found out why they worked and did a lot of research at Queens University in Belfast. I think he built and raced his own stroker, the QUB ;) Of course, my memory ain't wot it used to.............. lOl
