I'm looking for a base that fits a Famsa 244 tankbag. Got one (I think it's named E-MAX) for my beemer, but all shops I found are selling tankbag and base in pairs only. Does somebody know where to get a base on it' own?

Windingroads started to work on the order even on sunday.
A+ service and highly recommended.

The Buell specific extender one I have is top quality, better than me birds Weise one. Harness clips under back of cover and under the two front torx bolts, usefull size but cuz of shape to clear bars on lock, map pocket is only 12" by 9" tapering to 7" big enough for michelin 721 national maps. i thought i was the only one who still uses a map. For some weird reason map becomes blurred at tickover....
A bit pricey at £5,750 but i did get a free Uly thrown in with it.
No doubt someone from oop north will remark I was robbed....

And if you're a hairy fucker with a tapered head you get a free shower cap as well. Which is nice.

I got the bag just a month ago, so my answer is a theoretical only. I own an oxford tail bag for many years now, like that very much and never had an issue with it. The famsa quality seems quite the same, judging from look and feel. It's light years away from that overprized chinese Buell stuff (91213-04YA), sold for about the same price as the famsa bag here.
