I've got a Dainese helmet which is great but I should wear earplugs especially on a long ride. I forgot to put them in on sunday and it became uncomfortable after a while because of the noise.

I'm using a Schuberth C3 and it is terribly noisy on the XT. The screen is directing the air flow to the bottom of the lid -- just where it shouldn't go.

I tried riding without any windscreen. I can hear the engine noise; it's awesome! But it's just too much wind pressure on the chest and it gets tiring after a while. At the moment I use a shorter screen from Zero Gravity but the wind pressure is still too much and at speed there is still some wind noise that wasn't there without the screen.

So, best so far is no screen at all. I need to find a way to quickly remove/swap screens.

Why for god's sake?. The last thing I'd want is Mrs C(M) knowing I'd hear her if we had such an invention. If it works - I'd say the Schubert comm's designer "ist eine Frau".

It will definitely be more to do with the screen than the helmet. .that's why BMW developed the adjustable screen to cater for all riders, regardless of height.
