Was told by another shipper that a container was only £900+VAT (this was two years ago). Problem is that you need someone to crate the stuff, and that can be expensive. So your price here will probably go up considerably...

In 2003, Schumacher charged $400 U.S. to crate up and ship my S1 and another box containing spare wheels, 2 paddock stands etc. I dropped the bike off in Toronto where it was packed, then it went by road to Montreal, where it was loaded.
It took 4 weeks and arrived in Weybridge, Surrey for collection.
Although that was some time ago, there are many empty containers traversing the Atlantic right now, so I'm sure a deal can be had. ;)
