.......Didn't get there 'til late, but it meant that I could park right by the entrance, as a lot of people had already left.
I picked up some handlebars for £15 and a very old inverted lever for £20. :yup:

Good show, with plenty of nice club stands. Spent most of my time gawping at the bikes on the National Sprint Association stand. 8-)

Mick, bit of an update on the blaster. Ordered some 30-40 grade Aly-Oxide yesterday from eBog and it got delivered today. Great stuff! Problem was, the blaster refused to work properly with it. I think the media is too heavy for the small pistol. It struggles to 'lift' the media from the bottom of the tank up to the pistol and just spits it out in intervals. Not a continuous stream though, so it just never does anything really. I even upped the air pressure, and my compressor can do 10cfm, and the blaster only needs 8cfm, so that's not the issue. Even tried different jet sizes on the pistol. So, to cut a VERY long story short, I've given up trying to blast the heads and the barrels. Instead I spent some time cutting out blanking plates out of ply to cover the bits of the barrels and heads that I don't want to be damaged/worn away by shot grit, and I'll get the bits blasted by somebody with a MAN BLASTER. lOl

Here's the grit for comparison. Left Aly-Oxid, Right your Glass Beads. HUGE difference!

Barrels and Heads all blanked off ready for blasting.

Not sure if its visible, but it shows the difference in surface finish between aly-oxide and glass beads. Left side (rougher) is aly oxide, right side (smoother) is glass beads.

Ze blaster in action....

Is that blasting medium bone dry? I've known them clog etc when things are a bit damp. Bring the bits up here, I'll give them a good blasting with some copper jacketed lead ;) lOl

LOL!! 8-)

Yeah, the medium is bone dry, but I reckon the pistol just isn't up to the job. It even struggles a bit with the glass beads and does a similar thing, where it 'lifts' a lot, spits it out, then a pause, then another lot, pause, another lot, pause, and so on.... So, I'll drop the bits off at the blasters today and they'll have them done in 5 minutes I reckon. Not exactly big fish for them! ;)

Are you using an in-line condensation trap?
Something like this.

:yt: because your compressor is chucking moist air into your abrasive otherwise

Viewing the bike in the box pictures is that an early GSXR front end? I assume that you had a X1 stem copied and then pressed into the suzuki yokes?
