UKBEG (Yorkshire Section) proudly presents the Buell Riders Weekend - Scotland, 3rd to 5th June, Friday to Sunday.

Based in Uig on the Isle of Skye, the weekend involves riding motorcycles through some stunning scenery on great roads and eating delicous local seafood.

On Saturday there will be a tour through Skye and the Applecross Peninsula. The tour includes the Bealach na Bà (Pass of the Cattle) which is the highest pass in Scotland at 626m (2053 feet) above sea level and a lunch stop at the Applecross Inn.

We offer a choice of accommodation for the weekend. All these establishments are within walking distance of each other:

Camping and B&B available here
(Jane and I have booked a room for Friday and Saturday night at this B&B)

Hotel here

SYHA Hostel here

All makes of motorcycle are welcome - you don't have to arrive on a Buell.

You MUST eat the sea food at Applecross Inn. It's so fresh, you think it's only asleep :yup: Yum 8-)

We certainly will. It's a long way to go for a crab sandwich, but it'll be worth it :P...

And I forgot to mention that Uig even has its own brewery, details: here

Wouldn't you know it, we're in Wales that weekend ;) you'll have a fantastic time up there, the route to Applecross is 'interesting' with some tight turns in places. Enjoy.

Indeed it is interesting, probably the best power wheelie road in the UK. When I got to the top, I had to turn around, go back down and ride it again. Caravan free too lOl 8-) :yup:

Clive (and Matron :4roz:) - just our luck, we're heading norf while you're heading sarf.

We're a bit late announcing this event so apologies to anyone who would like to have attended but can't because of other plans.

That's the room booked for us. We're just gonna be there for the Friday night and head home on the Saturday. And fingers crossed home will be in Fife by then.
